Lower Buckhorn Lake

Day 2 of the guys weekend. Windy, windy, windy and rain. The evening was better but the only fish caught was a beauty of a walleye by Laughlin.

Day one of guys weekend. Rain, rain, rain. Finally stopped mid afternoon. Jay was the only one that got on the board with a nice LMB.

Back at Three Castles Resort on Lower Buckhorn Lake. Annual guys weekend. Unfortunately we lost one of the founding fathers of this, guys weekend, 2 weeks ago. One of the guys had a fishing tournament trophy made up in his honor. Starts tomorrow.

Day 13 and 14 of vacation. Day 13 was hot and wet. Never got out. Day 14 was a start packing day. We did manage to get out late afternoon. As usual Jenny got the fish, Marion was on the net and I took the photos. All and all we had 2 great weeks. As always, Louis at Three Castles Resort made sure we had a great time. Coming back again in September. Hoping to get out on Lake Erie in the next couple of weeks for some walleye. Until then, stay safe if you're on the water.

Day 12 of vacation. Beautiful day so we had a beach day. After dinner the Johnny, Jenny and I decided to go out for a couple of hours. As we are in the boat the wife decided she would fish from the dock. She hasn't touched her fishing rod the whole time we have been here and before we can even push away from the dock, she gets a fish on her first cast! She couldn't stop laughing 🤣. To be honest neither could we. Once we got out Jenny managed a dink and Johnny caught the big fish of the night, himself. He thought he had a monster and when he pulled it up it was a needle nose zebra mussel fish!!🤣🤣

What can I say. Shoulda, coulda, woulda but didn't. 😩🤷‍♂️. No I didn't have a steel lead but I didn't lose my hook either. Only the fish. It was the only hit we had. Plastic worm texas rigged. I didn't realize the video didn't show the fish. The original did. I took a screen shot. Hope it turned out.

Day 10 of vacation. Got out this afternoon with the son. Left Jenny and Marion at the cottage. We didn't want to get outfished again.😊 I managed a couple but Johnny got skunked again. Got out in the evening with Jenny and Marion. We each got one and Jenny got a couple of rockies but they don't count!😁 Another beautiful sky as we were coming in.
