Lower Buckhorn Lake

Got out twice today. Jenny and I managed a bass each. Marion got shut out but got herself a rock bass this evening to save her day. Vacation is over. Heading home tomorrow. Will give it another shot in September.

Managed to get out again tonight. Jenny did OK but us retired people got shut out. I know a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work but what about us retired people? I guess we're just SOL!🤔

With the rain and the wind we didn't get out until tonight. Marion and Jenny both got a SM bass. As for me, I was once told that the older you get the harder it is to get wood. As you can see, I had no trouble tonight. 🙂

Tough couple of days. Didn’t get out much and not much action. Did more hydrating than fishing. Marion did manage to get a small one tonight. Expecting more rain tomorrow.

Finally got out this afternoon. The last 2 days were just too hot. They were hydration days.😁.Today was hazy but a bit cooler. Jenny managed to get a nice LM. All fish released unharmed. Went out again tonight but no luck.

Back at Three Castles Resort on Lower Buckhorn Lake. Went out for an hour. Had the grandson out with us. He said we had to go back to the dock so he could give Auntie Marion casting lessons!😂🤣

Final day of fishing and the old man finally got on the board. After almost a week of trying all kinds of baits I put on an earth worm and got a small walleye. Leaving Three Castles Resort tomorrow. Not sure if I'll be able to get out on Lake Erie again. If not, tight lines everyone. Looking forward to ice fishing now.

We've been at Three Castles Resort since Monday. We've seen Loons, rodents, beautiful weather and great sunsets, but no fish, until today. Marion stopped the skunk with a nice walleye and a small bass. Anything caught tomorrow will be a bonus.
