Tough morning. After accidentally sleeping in, I came back to this spot and drew blanks until it started warming up. Landed 4 total and hooked a few more. Lost 2 because of crappy knot tying.

I feel like I'm starting to get these guys now, or maybe I'm just fishing a super easy spot lol. 5 on Saturday, recorded some catches on video, will see if I can upload.

After losing a few fights last year by mistakenly bringing the 4wt here, I brought in the bigger gun with a 7wt indicator rod. Hooked a few and landed this monster after he took me for a ride. Could not lift him at all after dragging me into a deep pool. Went to the culvert of dreams and found a whole bunch of manageable sized ones there, took one home.

Finally the chase paid off… Trout opener is just around the corner…🤙🤙🤙
