Beautiful evening

Feeling discouraged and annoyed at my poor performance yesterday at Ken Whillans, I changed my trip from the blackwaters up north to the clearwaters in Orillia. I think this was an attempt at some sort of a mental redemption for screwing up in the crystal waters from the previous day... With a combination of arriving late, wind, other fishers, forcing myself to throw flies for the majority of the day and a psychological pressure to do better, I struggled hard. No fish would commit to the flies, even though 3 large ones followed up to the boat. Switching away from flies, eventually I managed to hook a big pumpkinseed and a little guy. Hours passed and frustration built up. A bass boat passed by and caught a fish near me, and I mentally crashed. I could no longer keep myself enthused. On my way back to the launch, I stopped a few times as I passed rock fields. As if giving me a consolation prize, a 2.5lber nibbled the dropshot worm and I let my 2 day's of frustration into a solid hookset. I think I need to take a break

Feeling pretty good about bass fishing lately. Finding structure, properly fishing them and getting results! Didn't have my net so by the last one my shoulder was hurting keeping them pinned in the water.

This is a great milestone we caught 20+ small mouth today! I almost gave up the Garmin 106sv but thanks Danny Danny Liu showing me how to read it and find the fish!
