Duffins Creek

Finally back in Toronto. First outing of the year with the tenkara rods. Caught several of these 5-7 inch bows.

#catch25 New PB Rainbow Trout (Steelhead)! Apologies for not being active lately, but finally back! # Just started fishing this season (just a day after opener), and bam! In like 2 minutes, caught this beauty of a buck. Landed him a little to jnstantly and safely released. Caught in a Golden BlueFox Spinner (Size 2). Good to be back!

Sore feet, chapped lips and hungry AF is what a good opener is all about!

What an opener. For trout and our eyes. Dragged my non-fishing friend out stupid early to Duffins to get him on a fish. Long story short it was a success. 2 hooked, 1 big beautiful boi landed! I'm so happy and proud of him!! I also landed one on a nymph and hooked a few more. Now to rant. 2 groups of ignorant clowns camped out at the spot overnight and made the experience terrible for everyone else. Pushing people out and acting obnoxious in public like they own the place, weed and alcohol included. One camp even left their fire smouldering when they left. Absolute tools.

What i thought was going to be a regular day turned into one of the most memorable days this year on the river. Not only did i catch a biggum (5lb4oz). I couldn't keep them off my hook, fly fishing for trout. Their out of season up here, but man, are they ever aggressive right now. Has anyone ever caught a bass with black lip stick markings?
