Unnamed / Providence Pike - Pond

I was able to catch my limit today, but not before missing 18 other fish. I lost three of them right at the bank, one actually broke off on land. I played Hot Potato with it for a good 10 seconds before it flopped back in the water. I caught one and missed 3 on chartreuse PowerBait. The rest bit the red worm about two feet down from the bobber.

It was a little slow, but I managed to pull in my limit. They were all between 12 and 14 inches long. I averaged one fish an hour after 5 hours, but missed at least 12. They just weren’t very aggressive, so I was having trouble hooking them. I threw everything at them, but Power Bait was the only thing they went after today.

I didn’t have much luck catching trout, so I switched to my crappie rig. I only caught one crappie and two tiny channel cats. The trout were biting, but I couldn’t hook any. My nephew ended up catching one little trout.

Took me about 3 hours, but I managed to catch my limit today.

Only two today. It rained pretty hard, so I only stuck around for about 1.5 hours. Both catches were decent sized.

Not what I was going for, but it sure is a cute little fish.

I only managed to catch 3, but another fellow fisher gave me a couple. They weren’t very active today, but it looks like the population has thinned out quite a bit. I imagine that there aren’t many left.

No luck with the trout today. I had one break off a couple feet from the bank. Other than catching a bass, I didn’t get any other bites.
