I finally got an opportunity to try fly fishing in western NC. We had a beautiful day and I got three Rainbows. Two were small but it’s start. The bigger fish were finicky (I could see them !) but were not interested in my baits.

Beautiful Rainbow on Delayed Harvest water in Mills River! Today was my first time trying this location and it was a total banger of an afternoon. I rigged a small artificial red worm on a shank hook and they wanted it bad!
