Great Chazy River

Great day for some top water Muskie fishing 😎

It’s been about two weeks since I’ve had a decent catch out of the river. This old girl definitely makes up for lost time. I’ve hooked up to around 6 this year and this is the 3rd I’ve got to shore. Beautiful fish 😎

Hard to believe such beautiful fish are sitting in shin high water, love me some puddle jumping 😎

It’s been two weeks of non stop football action on the river! Something about fighting bass in the current makes a great 😎

Third Musky ever! Today I went on a 44 mile bike ride… for one fish. After about 5 hours of fishing and 3 miles of wading, I hooked into a dream fish; a beautiful 30 inch Musky that ate my Magdraft swimbait! After an intense fight, I brought it to shore and realized he had only one of six hooks (2 trebles) in his mouth, that was a close one. Unfortunately, at my very first spot of the day I found a baby musky floating belly up. The bike ride was well worth it!

New PB fish of a lifetime!!! Today I was fortunate enough to fish a river about 30 minutes from school that I knew contained a rare predator. My plan was to target these fish with a spinnerbait. After only about 10 minutes of fishing, I had one follow my spinnerbait and eat it at my feet, however I missed the hookset. About 5 minutes later, after heading to the top of the hole that I missed the previous fish in, I set hook into a beast! This fish immediately went airborne, jumping into the air completely vertical. After about a 2 minute battle I managed to land my second ever Musky! This fish came in at 36 inches long and is a New Personal Best! After my quick success with this river monster, I managed to also land a beautiful smallmouth bass. What a day!
