First time fishing this location since it reopened. Closed for 2 years to renovate the boat launch & pumping station. Glad this guy came out to play. Caught on a 7' 2 piece Lost Creek spinning combo spooled with 8# Berkeley Trilene XL, using a Yum Dinger 3 rigged on a Mister Twister 1/8 oz. Keeper Hook. Will probably spend most of my fishing time here this fall!

LSC largies were chasing top-water in Campau Bay today. Had to fight the wind more than the fish. Nothing wrong with a good workout but 💨🚣♂️ 😬. I love my OT Top Water 105 especially after all the upgrades (one of the best angler yaks on the market IMO). But, after thousands of hours and hundreds of fish later, it’s probably time to move up to a larger, pedal or motorized yak. It seems stupid, but it’s hard to let it go. Feels like an extension of myself.
