South Platte River

After coming down from the mountains I did stop along the platte, always fun to catch some trout on the trout magnet in the mountains (previous post) then come down and catch a few of these guys on the trout magnet as well. Such a great little lure

It’s been a tough summer, my normal spot at Aurora Reservoir has been horrible, lowest water I have ever seen so fishing from the shore has been rough. Had some fun catching a few of these little guys along the platte

Wished I had taken more photos cuz it was a good day on the platte!

The pic doesn't give the size of this fish justice. It was an absolute monster easily 5+ pounds. I'm proud of this one.
