Anyone else catch anything in Milne? I’ve caught small fry dink bass there n seen others catch bullhead and carp. Lily pads and vegetation look solid enough to sustain decent bass tho.

This tank hit my top water lure and the fight was on! You’ve gotta love those top water blowups. I used the June Frog wake bait. What’s your favourite top water lure?

The fluke is a finesse presentation that can be fished slow in pressured waters.

🌞🎣 Summer bass are all about timing. Hot days slow them down, but dawn, dusk — and the right conditions — bring explosive action. 🌧️ Pro tip: Don’t rush out right after a heavy rain. Murky water and temperature shifts can shut bass down. Wait a couple of days — once the water clears, the bite turns back on strong.

Once you figure out what the fish want in that body of water and that day, it’s off to the races replicating the same technique and presentation.
