Probably not the safest thing I’ve done but I met another cat fisherman at the boat ramp and his partner backed out on him so he asked me if I would come with him and I agreed to. Didn’t get to fish my spot but got to see his approach and met a fishing partner that might be able to fish with again. Just got this 24lber in picture and a few other dinks. Has anyone else ever done this just pick up and go fishing with a stranger?

Had a great night fishing caught 8 fish including my 3rd & 5th biggest catfish. 53lb 10oz & 50lb 7oz. Tried a new spot & it payed off. I got lucky with the 50lber it got tangled in the anchor line but I was able to pull up the anchor just enough to get the fish and net it before it could break off.

Caught 9 fish last night one almost 30 pounder. I had an absolute monster break me off too. I think I tightened the drag a little bit too much. Also I think I need to beef up my lines a little bit. The last couple trips I’ve been broken off on 15lb line & 20lb line.

Caught 7 fish finishing up with a couple decent ones. I had a heck of a night with my gear lost 5 rigs to big fish breaking me off and a few snags. Also had a hard to time hooking them missed a lot of hooksets. I guess better luck next time.

Is this fish good to eat ? First big fish I’ve ever caught and it bit the shiet out of my finger, brand new to fishing though still learning everything

Caught a 33lb Catfish for Fathers Day and 10 other fish. That fish had really been fighting looks pretty beat up from defending the nest.
