John H. Kerr Reservoir

I thought this was a snake head fish but its a bowfin. This is my 2nd bowfin caught. He was a fun one. He jumped completely out of the water on my 4lb test line.

Hit it so hard the bait went up the line. Back to back catches

Im glad I finally reeled this one in after losing previous 6, one big one broke the 4lb line.

Almost quit but one more cast caught this beauty on my 4lb test line. I think it looks like the one I caught yesterday. I guess didn't learn its lesson yesterday! 🤣
