Chickahominy River

Took my buddy fishing with his son and all together 8 fish with my buddy catching his PB and his son catching one and some z’s. A great night out on the river. Fish Angler’s take a friend fishing.

Large mouth bass ...bottom jiggin on a mud flat

Slow night caught 4 fish did miss 1 nice one hook pulled trying to reel up to the surface. Must not have been a good hook set.

Caught this with the cast net a couple days ago. I tried to figure out what it is and my best guess is a Mooneye which I’ve never heard of before but it doesn’t meet the characteristics of any type of Shad in my area.

Probably the most windy night I’ve ever went out fishing. Did end up catching a 25” & a 20” fish then nothing after that.

Not much action last night but still able to reel in a twenty pounder. Did accidentally run up on a mud bank and had to push boat off. I really need to set up a gps. on my boat.
