Dale Hollow Lake

Holy Crap! I was handlining with my cousin when we get a tug, he pulls it up and it feels like it came off, when it got to the surface I realized it was a massive bluegill. Caught on one of my squirmy worms so that makes this catch even better too. What a monster!

First ever fish on a dropshot! I tied on a 2.0” panorama on my UL and casted by a sunken tree, twitched it for a few feet and he slammed it. Super fun fight on the ultra light and I’m happy to say the dropshot works. I lost a plopper, and two dropshots today so I gotta go to bass pro soon to replace. I was casting off of the back of my uncles houseboat not seriously casting, I get hit three times the moment my lures hits the water. It didn’t hook so I continue to reel in and it gets slammed hard. I fight this fish and it looks to be my new pb, I get it to the lip of his boat and it jumps and spits. Would’ve been an awesome end to the day, but I’ll go out and get them back tomorrow hopefully.

Amazing day! Got to dale hollow at three, was on the water with my uncle by 3:30. We were marking fish everywhere and they were scattered all up and down in the column. Used a white paddle tail. I casted out with my rod and put it down bail open to tie on a different lure, I finished tying on and I picked up my Swimbait rod. It felt super heavy in feeling in thinking it’s weeds and then it shakes, the fight of my life it pulled drag like crazy. My uncle Jerry got the net job perfectly and the moment it hit the net, the hook popped out. This is an amazing cap off the a great day. 7 fish including a pb! Because it’s post spawn this fish was light, usually this fish would weight 5 pushing 6 if it was pre spawn or if it had recovered more.

First gar I've ever caught, then Britney kaye caught the smallest smallmouth of the day! And caught a white bass right after that!

First cast with the new lure, worked like a charm. It's my personal best, so far

Went out again after the rain, caught two 1lb bluegill and a 2lb bass! Bass on line minnows and bluegill on bacon. Going to go out tomorrow to see if I can get more fish before I leave for ny
