For the first 6 to 7 weeks of the year I hadn’t caught anything, and I had spent A lot of days and nights, freezing my butt off and honestly feeling defeated, and I got to my fishing spot about 3:30 in the morning it was cold and about 845. I was getting tired and ready to leave but I decided I was gonna throw crank bait of cast and then I was heading home. My third cast this monster came up and I’ll tell you right now there is nothing more exhilarating, and all those cold, tired days and nights catching this fish was worth it. I hope everyone can feel that kind of excitement and happiness that this fish brought me.

First catch of 2024 maybe a small one but to get that first one of the year in made me happy as can be.

Compared to the monster stripers that my home lake of Lake Cumberland is known for this is a small but it was my first one I had ever caught but crazy thing is I was fishing from the bank.
