Insane morning on the water. In the past couple of weeks I’ve really started to make some good decisions and piece some things together. It culminated in me landing my biggest fish of 2025 this morning with this freak of nature (for SE Ohio public waters). This morning was the first time in my life ever tossing an A-rig around and after about 30 minutes, I connected with this fish on the @tacticalbassin mini flex rig. . . Insane day on the water for so many reasons. Landed a couple really nice fish and had an insane catch on what I’m calling the one eyed Jack 😂 so to tell the story on this thing. I was fishing the Jack 6 by @berkleyfishing on a secondary point when I got snagged in an attempt to get it unstuck in somehow split the bait and pulled the whole eye, hook, and everything. The wind was ripping across this point so I decided to make one more cast with this lure before tying up a new lure and hooked into a solid fish. The second biggest of the day. Afterwards I ended up tying on the @6thsensefishing Quake and caught a tank! . . Got a ton of bites this morning just really struggled to put fish in the boat. Seemed like fish were short striking quite a bit. Ended up landing 4 total fish but lost 3 at the boat and 2 others. I lost track on how many fish I missed and how many craws were bit off. . . Foggy morning on the lake really put a damper on my plans to run and gun. Fished for a few hours this morning before the Ohio state game and smashed them on some of my favorite lures. I ended up losing a dink and a giant on the jig too.
