Fishing was tough for me today. Managed to hook into a few decent fish and dumped 2 more that would have given me a solid 10-12 pound bag. The bluerock custom tackle tube was the move today. Seemed like it was the only thing the fish would munch today and they ate it good when they did. . . Didn’t fish very long this morning at all because of the heat. Managed to catch one small bass, 2 small saugeye, and a pretty nice crappie. Was shocked at the crappie and the saugeye eating a @berkleyfishing Flux Gill on the flipping stick. Water temps at Seneca was around 90 degrees which is the first time I can ever remember seeing that high! . . Another good day on the water. Got on an early morning topwater bite and caught around 8 pounds before 7:30 this morning. The bite quickly died out once that sun got up and the lake slicked off. It was a struggle the rest of the day as there was basically zero wind and high sun. My last bite was around 10:15 to push me closer to that 9.5 pound mark and I fished until around 2 trying to break 10 pounds for the second straight day and it just wasn’t happening. If you were to tell me I’d catch 20 pounds in 2 days by myself fishing a lot of water that I normally don’t fish and do it fishing a lot of new stuff, I would be excited about that! . . I had an awesome morning on the water. Really tried to force a topwater bite this morning that wasn’t happening.
