Lake Sixteen

Lake 16 is a tough little body of water to fish. It has a ton of open shoreline and not a lot of mature trees to buffer the wind so it’s a challenge to keep the yak on point. The water is also crystal clear so you have to be stealth and make long casts. If you can see them, they can see you! Got ‘em on the drop-offs with a Rapala crank bait running at 6-feet. 👊

New lake. New challenges. Starting with the wind 💨 💨 💨. Brutal. Looked for any semi-protected pockets and fished them hard. Gotta a few dinks. Really tough to detect bites when your line has a massive bow in it! 🤣 The wind was also changing direction so I was constantly readjusting. Went to the anchor to stabilize things (which I don’t normally use) because I like to cover a lot of water, but managed to run into the pike in 18-feet of water. Then I found a narrow cut that led to a smaller part of the lake with an area that was relatively calm and the bite was on. 👊

Large mouth bass

i just tied up the River2Sea Whopper Plopper 130 and within 5 casts this little chunk hit the lure so hard i thought i had a small pike for a second! Great day of fishing with my buddy we will definitely be back for more!

First time using these KVD swimming jigs and rage tail soft plastics! i seen him blow up on the surface for bugs so i casted right where he just blew up and he came out and smoked the jig!
