This was my first attempt trying out Senko worms at a local storm drain pond, and they proved to be incredibly effective at catching the small bass in the area. However, the main drawback I encountered was their cost - at over a dollar each, they are quite expensive considering they often only last for one or two catches. Additionally, they tend to get shaken off during intense fights with the fish. (I was doing a Wacky rig directly on hook no ring). When small fish pick and drag the worm, it gives a false feeling that makes you think they have swallowed it. Due to these factors, I am considering saving the Senko worms for use in a larger lake where I can target bigger fish specimens. 2 hours of fishing 10x Largemouth bass 2 packs Yamamoto Senko

New paddle tail jig works! I recently purchased some new soft lures from the tackle shop and was eager to try them out. So, I headed to a nearby neighborhood pond to test them. To my surprise, the pond that I had visited during early spring was now completely surrounded by cattails grass, with no entrance point or bank access in sight. I circled around the pond until I reached the end and discovered a narrow passage leading to the water inlet. At the end of the inlet, there was a culvert. If I could reach the culvert, I would be able to fish from there; it provides an excellent access point and allows me to make casts easily. However, there was about 2 feet of water that I needed to cross in order to get there. Since I was only wearing a pair of long boots, I decided to go back to my car and grab my waders for this purpose. After changing into my waders, I finally made it to the culvert. Oh my goodness, the view was perfect! I could clearly see the fish swimming beneath the water's surface. The pond water was of exceptional quality, with remarkable clarity! During this fishing session, I managed to catch 10 fish, all of which were safely released back into the pond after taking their photos.

I recently came across a post by a fellow angler who had caught a fish at this local pond. Intrigued, I decided to visit the pond today with just 30 minutes to spare for some fishing. Upon arriving, I quickly parked my vehicle nearby and cast my line. To my delight, I managed to catch three fish, which I promptly released back into the water.
