Knife Creek

Few lil pretty native ‘Bows from one of my favourite local spots. The first fish pictured I’m inclined to call a cutbow, even though they’re extirpated from the system. I think he’s got some long lost cutty genetics in there, there’s a clear slash under the jaw and the rest of the characteristics check out as well. Got the girl out and she hooked into 5 fish on a small panther martin spinner. Her first fish ever! She was ecstatic. Got 10 between the two of us, 5 each. All mine came on a royal coachman pattern. Great day at the creek.

Pair of native ‘bows out of Knife Creek. The bite was on fire and they were hitting my doc spratley w floating line with great consistency. Every few casts would have an eat, proper hooksets on this small wild fish proved tricky though.

My first fish on the dry fly!! Took a #12 Parachute Adams in a deep pool. Probably my 10th take… I missed the hookset on all others🤣. Could’ve made my life easier by sizing down a fly, but I’m happy with this .5 lb native ‘bow.
