Recent Catches At James River

Finally after trying super hard since rivers opened up I finally caught a fish! A beautiful brown trout! But I must say releasing the fish and bending over at just about 34 weeks pregnant was not easy or as graceful as I usually am! But the fish swam off good and gets to live another day and grow bigger! River fishing has been tough this year due to going through my first pregnancy and being high risk and dealing with a lot! So I wobble down to close fishing holes as much as I want to walk and cross the rivers I just can’t so this fish made my day!

Was another whitefish kinda day, caught three total, all released. Had one nice brown chase after my spinner. Once again caught all my fish on Panther Martin Sonic Spinners, the only brand I use and trust! I bought 7 new ones today and only lost two which still really sucks haha! 🤣 but I was not ready to go swimming for them! Fiancee also caught a little whitefish on the fly and his line broke when I was taking photos of him and when I went to grab the fish my phone fell in the water but I got the fish and my phone! So far my phone is working good! Also I don’t understand whitefish, I catch them and they put up a good fight, bring them in and leave them above the water quickly take a photo and remove hook, hands are wet before touching them and yet they don’t swim off great. Yet trout go shooting off. Anybody else notice this?
