Ain't she a beaut! I'm thinking redear sunfish, but app is telling me green sunfish. Whatever it is colors must be popping due to spawn. Caught her with tiny jighead which you can see in her mouth.

First decent catch of the year...not much of a fight though as water temp still a bit low...will be grilling this slab up tonight for dinner!

Went out on a chilly & super windy afternoon to try out my new Lew’s baitcaster reel on a 7’ Berkley rod. I was throwing a Googan 5” Lunker Log. Not the bass I was hoping to find, but a jackfish is fun too.

They say these fish have small mouths, but this is ridiculous! This little guy was the only catch of the day for me. 😮‍💨
