Day 2 of attempting and failing to catch a bowfinin northern NJ. Had a lot of good luck overall though. This 3.5lb bass crushed the megabass weedless sleeper gill. It was the second cast on the edge of a patch of lily. Started off the day throwing a small spinnerbait and was drifting a cove and catching pickerel left and right. The biggest was about 20" but I wanted to try and catch some bass or bowfin. That's when I switched to throwing a frog. I fished that for 3 hours, it was slow, but I missed multiple fish, including one thst was at least 4lbs. I caught the bass just as I had to leave, so I probably could've caught more if I had switched baits sooner. Beautiful day on the water and a great day of fishing nonetheless.

Picked up a few salmon today
