Today I got to head down to the New Jersey beach to do some fishing in hopes of some new species. I wanted to primarily surf fish which I knew would result in larger fish, which went exactly according to plan. The first spot was a 3 mile walk along the beach to a little inlet. I chucked out a big piece of bunker and after about 2 hours I hooked into a giant fish. My first fish of the day was a massive Sandbar Shark that I estimated to be around 50+ inches and 35-40 pounds. The next fish picked up a whole bunker head and turned out to be a nice butterfly stingray. I ended the day off with a little Black Sea bass as well, making 3 new species today! #catchking
