Bullnose eagle ray

I spent two days fishing the Jersey Shore and managed to land a few super neat saltwater species. One of which was a new species, the Clearnose Skate! The other species was a Bullnose Eagle Ray, which I have caught before. On the second day of the trip I hooked into a ginormous shark, which was my target of the trip, but unfortunately it bit through my 100lb leader.

First ever stingray for me catch and release!

Had an incredible trip to Cape May beach yesterday and caught three species! In total I caught two Bullnose Eagle Rays, three Summer Flounder, and a Croaker. The Rays were absolutely massive and I estimated that the biggest was around 40 pounds! Caught them both on cut up Bunker. The flounders and the croaker were biting on gulp bloodworms. For only my third time fishing in saltwater, I definitely had an outstanding day. - I previously misidentified the rays as Cownose Rays

Estimated 3ft across, had to be like 25lbs+ 50lb braid. Pulled drag like no tomorrow. Took about 5mins to get in.
