Rarrgh! 😊 This is such an underrated fish in my opinion. This fish has been around for over 200 million years and they are so fun to catch. I spotted this Gar on the edge of the pond—so I threw my Yo-zuri bone popper—-on top of him and he followed it—paused….and then he struck it. He was about 27 inches and about 5-6 LBS. I was using my PENN pursuit 2500 and my Abu Garcia 6’ EZ cast. Such a fun fish to catch! 🎣
