European seabass

Literally plucked whilst the lure sat in the bottom… I had froze having seen two bass swim in the shallows close to me. Went to lift the lure out to cast towards them and was already hooked up with this fellow

Plenty of small bass around

4 little schoolies, I saw a load of action on the surface and thought it might be mullet so put on a chartreuse Mepps spinner baited with some red Gulp and pulled out 4 little bass. I spotted some bigger fish a bit later, almost certainly mullet, but they weren't interested.

Early morning session up the river to see what was about. Managed this hungry fellow… proper hit the lure hard. Good sport
