Literally plucked whilst the lure sat in the bottom… I had froze having seen two bass swim in the shallows close to me. Went to lift the lure out to cast towards them and was already hooked up with this fellow

4x bass finally convinced of hitting the lure, if not once but twice having ago, if not successfully hooked first time round. 61cm Biggest 59cm smallest. Lost 2 others unfortunately but they were on the feed and competing for the lure where there was more than one swimming together. Love sight fishing!

Lost a fish of a life time first off this evening. I’d have said easy mid double figures and over 80cm. Shook the hook! Bugga. Managed this chunky 62cm & a 63cm. Missed two other takes.

Lost two takes… and landed this little fellow. Not bad considering the amount of rainfall we have had in the last couple days. Had a really nice, long and dark shadow follow my lure from a deep gully but ran out of water. Consequently that bass saw me and swam away

Finally a WSW wind although strong… blowing in lots of weed and detritus. Was fortunate to run the lure over a gully with a lot of moving water and got hit just as came up to shallow rock.

Caught on 1 ounce Dark Sleeper to my surprise…as soon as it hit the top of the water.

NNW wind and quite strong…. As the sun was just to disappear I got hit with a smaller bass but after a couple of seconds managed to shake the hook. As the winds & sea state calmed I had the pleasure of meeting my biggest fish this year so far.

Missed a couple that followed the lure but not fully committing. Then to fishing the tide all the way up just before dark on the point and got slammed hard by a really good bass… skirted round the rocks darting left, pulling my very tight drag and then darted abruptly right, beaching itself over shallow rocks before my lure came free of its mouth! Gutted!
