Pangasius catfish

Many fish, easy catch, average size. Use “Spring Bomb” method

Got 2 of these Patin kolam at Kolam Joran Terbang Batu Berendam. Using a friend's 7" rod n 5000 size reel, with Berkeley monofilament line. Using umpan minyak i.e minyak special plus white flour mix, on a Y shape Patin rig. Quite a fiesty fighters these heavy patins, as they used their weight to their advantage.

Had a good fight with this patin on an UL setup, with 5lbs braid mainline n 6lbs floro leader. With a Y rig baited with gardenia bread cut in small pieces and knitted into 2 rather smallish SS hooks. Which did a good job of holding the light line, leader and rig together for a well balanced setup. Took a while to land this patin, which is very healthy with shiny silver body
