Spiny Softshell Turtle

TRYING FRESHWATER… ⤵️ After what seemed like Years but it’s only been a few months….after losing my baby dog all too suddenly, moving States and complete brain fog…I’m out and about exploring my new surroundings!l and brought my old girl Pep with me… Wel let me tell you freshwater fishing is a whole different breed of animal…teaching myself new skills and talking to the locals. Found myself some Thai fisher girls who taught me a thing or two. Caught zero fish but a turtle came and said hello to my bait! Feels good to be out! Tight Lines my friends 🐟💪🏻

Been kind of busy and just realized I forgot to post this one. He was pretty aggressive so I didn’t take the time to measure him. Going to be back on the bank tonight hopefully.

[2/2 Posts] caught 25” catfish and a 17” (diameter) soft shelled turtle.

Charlie caught two turtles. Nothing has been biting. He done walked home and gave up. I’m staying until I catch something at least.

This was odd. Couldn't tell what was trying to swim away on the line for a minute. Eventually brought it close enough and netted it in. It got hooked onto its shoulder somehow. Easily got it off and put back
