Honored to see a spoonbill in person, was not intentionally targeted, got its bill and tail wrapped up on a retrieve of my bottom rig and only landed to prevent it having 80 lb braid and a 4 Oz sinker attrached to its body for the rest of its life. Left in the water at all times except to carry it back to deeper water, where it was obviously released safely and properly. Swam off strong and hope to see their population continue to grow in the future years

Caught this bowfin at the Bagly Bottoms Landing on the Mississippi River. The landing was a floaded bog of mud, that's why the fish got so messy. Tough to get a good shot of these prehistoric beasts 😆 He initially missed on a top frog, so I through a 7" senko at him. Great day on the river!

Caught a few more gills one the size of this rock bass and one much smaller
