Horseshoe Lake

First Brown I had ever caught… and it was completely unintentional! 😆 Fishing for LMB in the early fall, throwing a bluegill pattern crankbait around some underwater rock formations+drop offs close to shore and ended up catching this guy!?! I was a little thrown off by the surprise catch, but what really made it surprising was that the WDFW doesn’t list Browns as a resident species in the lake I was fishing! 🤣 anyway, no weight or length on him, he was feisty and I barely had a chance to snap that pic as it was… Ended up releasing it, and was so fiesty that it left me with a hook in the finger as a parting gift!

Caught dropping a Texas rigged finesse worm around a large lay down, ate it on the drop… gotta love it!
