Lake Wallenpaupack

Had the day off yesterday, the pattern that I was on last week totally changed. Marked a few fish that were not interested in bait. Casted the spook and kietects on and off. This 14lber never broke the water surface when it took the spook, slashed up in about 20 foot of water, was hooked instantly. Earliest top water Striper in fresh or salt I've caught.

Had today off, the weather held up and the bar was in good numbers. 4 Wipers between 6 and 7 1/2lbs. The brown was 6 1/4lbs.

Took my niece out yesterday morning, 1st trip this year for her. Tried to get a Striper for her, but she was pretty stoked about a 13lb channel cat. Of course after she left I got on one small striper. 8lber

Went out to lake yesterday for a few hours got 1 missed one and a small mouth all fish released unharmed

Got out at first light with my buddy. We landed 3. Two Wipers for him, 7+lbers and a 8lb Pure for me. They were more active when the air temp was below freezing with no wind. Temps rose onto the 40's with the wind picking up. Only a few smallies after that.

The fishing calendar called for poor fishing yesterday and today. I guess they were hungry yesterday. Landed 6. 5 Stripers and 1 Wiper. 15.75 and 14.5 were the bigger ones, and the Wiper was 7.5lbs Today was a struggle marked lots of fish, 8lb Pure early than landed the small Brown on a keitech. All fish as always released.

2 months of ice fishing,scrounged 3 fish all season. First trip with the boat, landed 3 and had 2 other hits. Two 10lbers, and a 19lb 14oz.
