Wake Forest Reservoir

Tried my luck again this time using three light and ultra light rods. I caught 17 fish in three hours: a 2 lb catfish (a great fighter on ultra light), 4 white bass (2 released), and 12 crappie (4 released). I also lost 5 crappie but that happens,

Tried the reservoir again. The fish were not all that active but I did manage to get 5 crappie, a beautiful bluegill and 2 white bass all trolling with Rapala Ultra Light lures. I did lose two good sized crappie, one jumped out of the net, and one saw the net and ran off.

Went out early today and met a friend fishing at the boat ramp. I was fairly lucky: caught 9 crappie (lost 5 😫), 1 white bass and a bluegill. Beautiful morning to be on the water.

Went out early to a small, quiet lake just to get some exercise. In the process, I caught 23 crappie, 3 white bass and a bluegill in 2 1/2 hours. All were released.

Nice and chunky top water fish at the resovoir this morning.

One little one on the last cast. Chased and swiped at the plopper a couple times before finally getting on. Fun little catch for the size!

New PB! Had 7 fish all together but this one made my night. Blew up on the whopper plopper 90, and put up a good fight! Hearts still racing! 8lbs 2oz.
