Recent Catches At Duck Lake

Kickin a** and harassin bass. Duck Lake is infested with goldfish and koi. Someone didn't want their pet goldies anymore and dumped them here and now it's a full blown problem. Goldfish and koi are incredibly invasive. They devour smaller things in lakes that should be feeding sunnies, bass and pike. While I caught a mess of little bass and they're good sports, there was a desperation in their strikes. They seemed really hungry and all about the same size. Duck Lake is lovely, but wildly out of balance. Repeat after me. DO. NOT. RELEASE. GOLDFISH. OR KOI. INTO. LOCAL ECOSYSTEMS. And repeat this to anyone who lives anywhere near a body of water. This could happen to any lake.
