North Fork South Platte River

I woke up late and hungover. That’s the truth. Should have been on the water at 5:30 am. Instead it was 8:30 and still fish were hitting all day till 1pm. Gotta live Colorado!!! Advice…—- don’t accept cheap tequila shots at the bar

Great day on the river. Caught 12 fatties, had some big ones break off.

This was my all-time best and most exciting catch ever. We thought we had a state record and we where dang close in a few categories. I hooked this fish in a tiny hole, way too small for its size, while drifting a worm on a 4lb test line. I had to jump into the river right away and move toward the fish to gain some line. It was like a scene from a movie. The moment I set the hook, the fish thrashed out of the water, and I nearly jumped out of my skin!
