Today was all about missed opportunities and straight up struggling. Started off this morning catching tiny saugeye and a pretty nice sized white bass. I ended up hooking into a really good fish before getting wrapped up and breaking it off. It was easily 4 pounds and it nearly jumped in the boat trying to shake the lure after I broke off. Other than that I had one bite that ended up being a 2.5 pounder. . . Insane morning on the water. In the past couple of weeks I’ve really started to make some good decisions and piece some things together. It culminated in me landing my biggest fish of 2025 this morning with this freak of nature (for SE Ohio public waters). Insane day on the water for so many reasons. Landed a couple really nice fish and had an insane catch on what I’m calling the one eyed Jack 😂 so to tell the story on this thing. I was fishing the Jack 6 by @berkleyfishing on a secondary point when I got snagged in an attempt to get it unstuck in somehow split the bait and pulled the whole eye, hook, and everything. The wind was ripping across this point so I decided to make one more cast with this lure before tying up a new lure and hooked into a solid fish. The second biggest of the day.
