I finally made it to a place which has been on my list for a good few years now, and it did not disappoint! Caught my Pb Smallmouth! Came in at 3 pounds. In addition to that I caught 3 more smallies all in the 2 pound range, and also had 2 encounters with my first musky! On the first cast I didn't think it was a Musky, I thought it might be a Pike or Walleye. But then I switched up to a Jerkbait and he hit again. This time I got him right next to the bank but I was so hyped that I didn't get him in right away. And he ended up breaking off. Had to be one of the coolest Musky I've ever seen! Wasn't a giant but he had some insane Colors! I'm definetly gonna be back for him!

Today I finally got onto my first hard water fish of 2026! I managed to pull up this little laker in 95 feet of water, the deepest I’ve ever fished. This guy ate my baby whale swimbait on a megabass spinhead jig. Hopefully I can get onto some bigger ones in a few days!

6lb pike hit the beaver right next to the boat on 3’ of line just when the stars were coming out! Never caught a pike this late in the evening before:-)

Beautiful moonless starry night on Long Pond. Saw a couple of meteors :-) had lots of blowups next to my boat and only caught this little guy accidentally as I repositioned and the fish snatched my buzz bait as it tangled over the water lol

Fished long pond, look for two yellow painted boulders just west of the lake on rte 22. Three delightful old ladies live there and will let you launch for 15$. I brought a kid who works as a dishwasher and he had a blast. Had to cut it short due to incoming thunderstorms
