Some incredible multi-species fishing today! Got two beautiful 5lb Walleye to wrap up the day, a nice salmon on the jerkbait, an extremely aggressive rock bass, and the best smallmouth action I’ve ever experienced in my life. For a good 10 minutes I was pulling out 3 pounders every single cast from a single hole. I caught multiple smallies that were 3lbs 12oz, but still, somehow, no 4 pounder.

Once again, another Walleye after sunset, this time being a nice 4 pounder! The smallmouth fishing today was a bit slow, but I did manage two nice 3 pounders and a little one. The 9” glidebait did the trick for one of these smallmouth and drew in quite a few more bites. In total I fished for about 5 hours today and caught 4 fish.

Absolute behemoth of a Personal Best Walleye, 8lbs 10oz!!! I can’t believe I’m saying this but the goal for the next two weeks is a 10 pounder, and it’s crazy that it’s within my reach. On top of this beast of a fish, I caught 5 smallies, including one on my 9 inch glide bait, and it was the smallest one of the day. Got four 3 pounders with the biggest smallie weighing in at 3lbs 8oz.

Two gorgeous Wallies today after sunset that came in at 6lbs and 7lbs. Got a couple smallmouth as well with most of them being babies. Lost one good walleye at the end of the session that was probably a 5 pounder. My trout net is way to small for these guys and I was bound to loose one eventually.

Midnight Walleye 🌙 and some more multi species action. The walleye season opened today and I wanted to be the first to strike. The previous few walleye I had caught were all smallmouth by-catches, but tonight (this morning), I finally wanted to taste my success and cook one up. My late night endeavor payed off only 12 minutes after the season started and I was able to land a beautiful 3.5lb Walleye. It tasted very similar to white perch, but man the cheeks were incredible. Along with this catch, I managed to land a gorgeous lake trout and a 3.25lb smallmouth on the 6th sense panorama.

Some multi species action today on the rapala’s with the highlight being a 25 inch Walleye. The salmon was the first of the year for me. It seems like the little smallmouth have made their way into the river and my chances at a 4 pounder have gone down drastically.
