Another beaut from the end of the stream! After a full night & half a day of rain, the weather finally broke & as you'll see, the conditions were perfect for trout. Nice cloud cover, sun on its way down & the water up from so much rain. Convinced my partner to let me run down there on the proviso I was no more than 10 minutes....on only my third cast I landed this stunning female.

So pleased with this beautiful 60cm Brown! An unreal day. Spent the morning kayaking solo on Lake Moeraki - absolute glass out there & landed 2 mid-sized trout. Spent the afternoon downstream with 2 friends. 3 hours watching fish follow our lures out before swimming away. Returned to our very first spot for the last few casts of the day.....Look what we landed!

My PB Brown Trout! Absolutely chuffed - 65cm. I realise for locals who've been fishing in NZ for years, this is a long way off how big they can get. But for someone here only 2 months so far, I was delighted! Best fight I've had whilst fishing & so stoked to land this big male.

Great day for catching Browns on the stunning Moeraki River (South Island, NZ). Managed to lose the first 3 I hooked! Thought I was in for a stinker but then followed up by landing 3. This was the best of the lot.

Beautiful Brown Trout in New Zealand. I've just made the move to live & work at Lake Moeraki on the South Island. Stunning spot & the fishing is out of this world. So many beautiful browns who love to bite & love a fight. Very excited to get stuck into it all summer. Salmon run is coming soon too!
