After switching my gear countless times and waiting nearly 5 hours, I managed to catch my first ever rainbow trout! What a great catch while birthday fishing! We also cooked it up and added it to our thanksgiving dinner!

I came here for the last hour of sunset and I think I found my new favourite spot! I know these are just Pikeminnow but I'm just happy to say I wasn't skunked!

I knew it was only a matter of time before I hooked an absolute monster from Okanagan Lake. I also managed to catch a new species for me: the white sucker. People say northern pikeminnows don't fight very well, but I disagree! Maybe it was just the size of the one I caught, but it put up a great fight. If you want to make the fight last even longer, try loosening your drag a bit.
