Day 2: While we originally wanted to go offshore the wind wasn’t in our favor so we kept inside if the break and stayed close to shore. We trolled on the point of Cape Henry in Virginia Beach. Spanish and Ribbonfish tore up the plugs all day long!! We headed toward the 3rd Island (Chesapeake Bay Bridge) and quickly turned back due to 5-6 ft swells. We continued trolling and the bite slowed down with a double-up here and there. To my surprise the wind changed direction and the water calmed down substantially!! We went looking for Browns (Cobia) and chased about 9 within a mile stretch. We lost a juvenile at the boat, but things got intense circling around for a few brown torpedos.. Sight casting a Jig I had a few turn on it, but couldn’t get ‘em to chew!! Still ended up with about 60lbs of filleted protein!!! Get Hooked!!
