Rainbow trout

Crazy story about this guy. I was fishing my local harbour after work today on a mission to find the infamous whitby harbour pike. Metal leaders, spoons, spinner baits, you name it all stocked up before driving to the spot. I was switching between bottom fishing and using lures. I figured it Doesn't hurt to catch a cat for fun, while trying to get a pike to bite. I'm trying different retrieves, fast slow, letting it hit bottom, stop and go. I cast out let it hit bottom, steady retrieve and boom a little steelhead. Honestly not the biggest but definitely the most unexpected 😁

One of three bows on the evening

Shook hands with around a dozen native ‘Bows yesterday at a new lake for me. Checked this spot out a couple days ago because I’ve been working in the area and got back with my kayak and rod. Also got to see a Moose on the drive back home, which I haven’t been seeing many of, these last few years.
