This one was hanging in shallow waters around a tree stump with a mate, not moving away, and not intimidated by the circling kayak. She was checking out the bait with every cast, but did not want to commit. At one time I striked the bait out of her mouth. It took me quite a few casts before I could trick her with a small 3.5" craw. Dit not measure or weigh. Released quickly and she swam immediately back to her nesting area.

The 4th and last one for my day on Roodekoppies. I had 5 strikes for the day and landed 4. After the bad 2025 I had so far, I'm not going to complain about that!
