Recent Catches At St. Croix River (MN)

#CatchKing My dad's back yard sits on the deepest hole in the entire Snake River in Pine City MN and the fishing there is amazing. Pretty much every type of fish available in those waters are gathered in or around the 30 ft deep hole and his back yard sits right on the section of the river that feeds directly into it. Wade fishing for sturgeon right at the mouth is absolutely amazing. All you need is a simple Carolina rig with a small circle hook, nightcrawler and a little bit of time and you're bound to catch a sturgeon. If a sturgeon doesn't get it something else will. Skunked? This hole has never heard of her! 😆 This was the biggest we caught the 2 weeks I was there. After a couple of popped lines during some big battles we decided to go with a little heavier braid and leader. Luckily it paid off. My dad was able to land this 58-60 inch sturgeon after fighting it for about 15 minutes! One of my favorite fishing memories with my dad ever and that says a lot because I have a ton of them. Gear used was a KastKing Megatron 6k + 8ft Progressive Glass rod.

These 2 are the same fish I caught another 8 incher, didn't get a picture. And yes i caught it on the minnesota side of the river

We went a little north and pay a visit to St. Croix River, we did some exploring and enjoy the amazing view!! 😍 Have you fish the St. Croix river?? People catches sturgeon there!! 😱 have you ever caught one? Please share your technique to do so, we definitely would love to catch one. Next time we'll take our fishing rods with us to the St. Croix River!! 🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣 Fish On! 😝

Went to an old hiking trail, had my gear this time and missed a few caught a few 😎 even landed a small trout I think cause it had red dots.
