I don't think my daughter likes fishing with me anymore 😂 But c'mon how am I supposed to pass up a spring topwater bite like this?!

I started fishing a year ago last April and it took me an entire month to catch my first bass. Now I laugh it took me that long during prime bass season. What the heck was I doing?! I am grateful this year I get to experience the magic of spring fishing!

Quick dink sesh before the kiddos bed time

Stocked up on 1/8 oz jig heads for the white bass run. Dug up some 2 inch swimbaits I accidentally purchased a while ago to use as a trailer and headed to the pond. The pond is stocked with minnows so figured this rig would work well. And bam first cast! Turns out "match the hatch" is good advice 😅

Finally broke in 2022! They are the dinkiest of dinks but they still count 🙃

Skunked kayaking on Canyon Lake earlier this week so it feels good to land a nice fish from a local pond.
