Well boys, I have officially landed the greatest accomplishment of my life. Today, me and my buddy Sam decided to go out and try a new lake from the bank today, mainly going after whatever would eat corn and worms, but as soon as we pulled up to the first spot, we tried to take advantage of the morning bite we had left for bass, so I picked up my 6th sense hangover and big swimbait setup and started launching it as far as possible. 3rd cast, Sam wasn't even rigged up, and this hawg annihilated the swimbait. Having a hard time coming up with words to describe it lol. Got everything on video and the swimbait is now on a shelf awaiting a case. I knew l'd catch a double digit someday but I definitely didn't think it would be bank fishing a public lake. BUT WAIT! Theres more to the story lol. When Sam handed me the scale to weigh the fish, it was dead. So Sam ran to the boat ramp (about a 150 yard run) to see if anyone had a scale we could borrow, but we were the only ones bank fishing that area and everyone with a boat was launched and out on the water. Then, by a miracle from the good Lord above, a truck pulled up to launch his boat. Luckily he had to take his boat cover off before launching which gave Sam time to high-tail it in his truck over there. First Sam asked if he had a scale we could borrow, which he said yes to, but he had to get his boat cover off first. Then, Sam said we could also use AAA batteries if he had any, and he did, so that's how we got the weight lol. I was holding the fish in the water the whole time deep enough for its whole body. Also, about 5 cast later I caught a 7 and 1/2 pounder that I'll post later. Don't really know what else to say lol.
