The trout hit the lure just after it hit the water.

I bought this rod to pier / surf fish. I was testing to see how far I could cast a lure and this fish and several others hit this lure. Yes, it casts a mile.

A small red and a small croaker on the ned shrimp.

A couple of small flounder and a croaker on the salty ned shrimpz.

Caught a baby slam: red drum, spec and a flounder. I actually caught 10 flounder, mostly small ones. That ned shrimp is a killer lure. Just bounce it along the bottom and get ready for the strike.

Finally caught a decent spec, 15” red and this tiny bait fish.
