Recent Catches At Vermilion River

Stopped at the Vermilion River falls/gorge on the way home. Had a lovely time harassing the fish with my dad. ♥️ I pulled in a good size smallie, but I forgot the net, and of course it jumped off. Oh well, Dad saw it. The fun of fishing... is not often about the fish. 🌅

FIIIIIIIISH! I asked an older guy on the side of the road where the best spot for river fishing is, and he said right under the gorge. Sure as sh*t, there they were. Three species, small mouth, pike and bluegill, 4 fish total. So many strikes, probably those giant bluegill picking off the worms. Anderson Outfitters had green-dyed crawlers that worked like a witch charm. My dad took pictures in between playing with a drone and a Geiger counter. We are a unique set of nerds. 🤓
