Parley Lake

It was a decent night, big fat bluegill, crappie and a few pike around, but walleye are still evading me. I have worms, I have leeches, I have drop shots and bobber/weight/hook setups. I found crappie nesting beds. But no walleye. I need a grandpa. I need an old guy in a boat who wants a fishing buddy.

Well crappie is always a pleasant surprise. I know this one was very very average, but he bit my worm, so I thought he was beautiful. ❤️😆

Little pike! Walleye are still evading me. But like everything else, I'll take whatever bites...

Caught a bluegill between a patch of weeds and a lovely shoreline. A nice grandpa in an even nicer boat trolled by and caught a walleye right in front of me. I am beginning to suspect that being a grandpa gives one a bonus to walleye catching. I heard water gurgling somewhere in the shoreline and explored an unmarked creek. The forest was deep and as cold as a fridge. I came back out to my kayak in the sunlight shivering. Went back to fishing...

Too bad we couldn’t keep it!

Sad demise on this lunker. Found floating along dead. Not sure if prop hit or turtle got it.

Decent fighter. Never came up to spit either.
