Merrill Pond No. 3

First bass of the season was caught on the first cast of the day. Small but satisfying.

tried a weedless wacky rig...it works!!! This beast ripped out my 8lb mono into lilly pads where I thought I would loose him, but I was patient and let a little line out so he could free himself then finally was able to get him in. Check out his spikey dorsal fin sticking out of his back 😁👍. It was 23"and not sure on weight...but would guess a easy 5-6 lbs.

caught this one in a small cove almost choked off the pond on a Horny Toad soft bait. I lost one shortly after this one in the same hole that was equally as big.

seen a big ripple getting closer to my soft lizard before he engulfed it.
